BM Coro hosts 2nd PCL Provincial Assembly

Vice Gov. Junjun Egay actively convened Team Capitol, sports coordinators, national line agencies and provincial offices recently at the Expanded PGO Conference for the Inter-Agency Sports Fest in line with the 117th Founding Anniversary of One Surigao.
Instead of the tentative schedule which is April 27, 2018, it was revealed by former Provincial Administrator Romy Cal who is now the designated over-all focal person, that the exciting activity will be moved to May 7.
Those who took part during the consultation were representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), National Irrigation Administration (NIA), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), National Food Authority (NFA), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Surigao del Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Surneco), 30th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army (PA), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Parole, Department of Justice (DOJ) DepEd, Philippine Coast Guard, and other sports facilitators.
Tackled were the single round robin and team bracket system, wherein the games consist of basketball, which has maximum of 15 players.
Also slated were volleyball with 15 players and four respecting table tennis with two alternates, to include both men and women.
Chess, badminton and dart were also lined up. Contest proper has both semi final rounds and championship matches.
It was also agreed that athletes must strictly and religiously follow the proper scheduling, and wear complete uniforms to avoid getting disqualified.
Policies, rules and regulations must also abide, adhere and conform with the terms and provisions laid down by the International Basketball Federation ( FIBA) as well as theFédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) to avoid any untoward circumstances.
Competitions will also follow the standards prescribed by the National Tournament Rules and Guidelines.
Necessary virtues of each player are professionalism, courtesy, politeness, respect, patience, resilience, endurance, tolerance, fortitude, longsuffering, obedience and sportsmanship.
Ground rules must at all times be recognized, according to the enthusiastic and spirited presiding officer of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
