Surigao Norte Division wins BB. Kalikasan 2018 Crown

It was a shining, splendid and shimmering night of fabulous glitz, spectacular magic and awesome glamour. All for the love of Mother Nature.
Giving more color and breathing more life to the 2018 Binibining Kalikasan Pageant and Coronation Night were Governor Sol and First Legislative District Cong. Francisco Jose ‘Bingo’ Matugas II who went onstage to cap the show which crystallized at the Provincial Gym last February 22, 2018.
Governor Sol championed the trust of her beloved constituents and the confidence of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte with her fresh appointment as over-all chair of the powerful Caraga Regional Development Council.
Jella Santillana of Surigao del Norte National High School, representing the Mainland DepEd Division was unanimously proclaimed as the Binibining Kalikasan 2018. Paola Danica Dumadag of Caraga Regional Science High School, Surigao City Division won the First Princess title while Angie Khristine Allen Gorbulev of Siargao DepEd Division reigned as the Second Princess.
"They were certainly the best among the rest. With their perfect looks, amazing talents and powerful brains, they rocked the stage. Indeed, a plethora of ravishing beauties," said Provincial Planning Coordinator Arturo Cruje.
Major awards consisted of the following:
Binibining Kalikasan - P20, 000
1st Princess - P18, 000
2nd Princess - P16, 000
and for Non-Winning Candidates - P12, 000 each
For the Special Awards, P5000 was earned by the winning candidate of the Best in Fantasy Costume and Recyclable Materials.
Governor Sol and Gob Lalo also contributed ten thousand pesos each in cash, on top of the airfare trip to Hongkong for the winning candidates, and consolation prizes.
Another P5000 was designated for the Best in Filipiniana Inspired Evening Gown.
For the Best in Environmental Advocacy, P50 000 was bestowed upon each division.
