Province earns excellent scorecard from the National BSP Council

With the successful hosting of the 62nd Annual National Council Meeting and Court of Honor, the Boy Scout of the Philippines (BSP) headed by Atty. Wendell Avisado, gave
“Gob Lalo, Governor Sol and Cong. Bingo gave us the warmest and heartfelt reception. Their exceptional accommodation is truly unforgettable and remarkable,” said Atty. Avisado.
Said national event took center-stage from May 6-8, this year at the Philippine Gateway Hotel Surigao.
Excellence, Avisado affirmed, has been the perfect assonance of the Chief Scout, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.
On her part, Gov. Matugas expressed her wholehearted gratitude upon seeing thousand of scouters across different points of the archipelago converge harmoniously, making such a life-changing gathering excellent, and sharing the glorious triumph with the people from all walks.
Leyte Vice Gov. Carlo Loreto was also impressed upon seeing Gov. Matugas who once served as the regional director of DepEd. Atty. Loreto was then a provincial board member.
Former Vice Pres. Jejomar Binay and Bulacan Gov. Roberto Pagdanganan also showed up.
“As we love to spend more time in this beautiful place, the fruitful exercise has come to an end. We choose to stay intact and help our young people rekindle a bright future,” asserted Atty. Avisado, whose maternal roots hailed from Gigaquit town.
Avisado likened the meaningful journey with braving the high and mighty waves of Siargao, and learning how to surf to reach a promising destination where the dream of growth and stability is never impossible.
“We carry on continually and work hand in hand to inspire and motivate young people. We takje pride in teaching our visitors and continue to do everything we can despite the formidable challenges we face,” said Avisado.
With elected officials serving the best interest of the scouting movement, Avisado noted that the matters affecting the scouting community are pertinent and relevant points for all the local councils to get involve and get their acts together.
“We must tend to become active in the affairs of our organization. All of us must volunteer ourselves every so often with few getting elected. We continue to serve,” maintained Avisado.
