PGSDN bares fresh, pretty faces of Binibining Kalikasan 2018

As a stunning precursor to Miss Earth Philippines, the provincial government through the bright auspices of Gov. Sol Matugas, has finally introduced the beautiful candidates for this year's Binibining Kalikasan.
Presentation of 16 beautiful and lovely candidates for the Binibining Kalikasan Surigao del Norte Pageant 2018 took center-stage at the Provincial Gazeebo last February 15 in the presence of Governor Sol, Gob Lalo Matugas and Team Capitol.
Also there were the two Schools Division Superintendent of the Department of Education (DepEd) - Dr. Nelia Lomocso, (Mainland) and Tess Real (Siargao).
According to Provincial Planning Coordinator Arturo Cruje, five pageant entrants were pre-selected from Surigao City, another 5 from the majestic island of Siargao and 6 from the Mainland Division.
"They were certainly the best among the rest. With their perfect looks, amazing talents and powerful brains, they will surely rock the stage and plethora of ravishing beauties," said Cruje.
Major awards consist of the following:
Binibining Kalikasan - P20, 000
1st Princess - P18, 000
2nd Princess - P16, 000
and for Non-Winning Candidates - P12, 000 each
For the Special Awards, P5000 will be awarded to the winning candidate of the Best in Fantasy Costume and Recyclable Materials.
Governor Sol and Gob Lalo also contributed ten thousand pesos each in cash, on top of the airfare trip to Hongkong for the winning candidates, and consolation prizes.
Another P5000 for the Best in Filipiniana Inspired Evening Gown.
For the Best in Environmental Advocacy, P50 000 will be bestowed upon each division.
