Governor Sol lauds Go Negosyo in San Francisco
(January 4, 2018)
Despite the inclement weather triggered by Tropical Deppression ‘Vinta,’ the official launching of the Go Negosyo Center in Brgy. Diaz, San Francisco successfully took shape recently.
Hours prior to the historic event, PAGASA issued severe weather bulletin after the storm signal was raised to signal number 2 from number 1.
Go Negosyo is a perfect venue for livelihood trainings and various economic opportunities spurring growth and progress through government intervention, community mobilization and people empowerment. It should be noted that Gov. Matugas operationalized the “Puhunan sa Pag-asenso” program which seeks to eradicate poverty by lending start-up capital to qualified indigent beneficiaries.
In her congratulatory remarks, Gov. Sol Matugas greeted everyone who attended amid the wet, cold, and rainy season with a meaningful Christmas.
“This is the perfect season to love one another, and share our blessings to those who need our help the most,” said the workaholic and action Governor.
Gov. Matugas also acknowledged the full support of DTI Provincial Dir. Celestino Negapatan, SCCI Chair Concepcion Paqueo, Mayor Guia Sabanal, distinguished members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Punong Barangay Amado Sajol, other incumbent government officials present, the business community and the private sector, whom she regarded as her strong partners for economic development.
“This building is both a dream come true and a prayer answered at the most opportune time where our brothers and sisters can avail of the vast services that we can offer them in terms of livelihood opportunities.
What we truly desire is for the margins of our society to earn adequate income for their respective families. Clearly, people from all walks of life must rise up to the challenge and do what is best to attain sustainable progress, inclusive development and phenomenal growth,” articulated the multi-awarded and top-performing Governor.
She added that ‘the poor must be the first priority: those who are deprived, underprivileged, weak, powerless and disadvantaged must come to terms with the formidable challenges of our time.’
Go Negosyo endeavors to make sure that all the data gathered will be able to lead and shape both prospective and modern-day entrepreneurs in handling and running one’s own affairs, and driving it to pure success and victory.
Conferred with obligatory and compulsory powers, tasks and resources, the Center strives to nurture, direct and connect local business enterprises with their foreign counterparts and revenue-generating projects meant to expand the fiscal standing of the Provincial Government, and improve the economic and social welfare of the mainstream society and the marginalized sector.
