Cong. Bingo: More Gains for the Surigaonons

(March 5, 2018)

Surigao del Norte First Legislative District Cong. Bingo Matugas said that theough his watch, 'the faithful Surigaonons can harvest the best programs in store for them.'

Cong. Matugas is the only begotten son and namesake of then Gov. Francisco 'Lalo' Matugas, a lawyer by profession, whose people-centered leadership was known to have spurred phenomenal growth and massive infrastructure development in this part of the world.

According to Cong. Bingo, House Appropriations Committee Chair Karlo Nograles assured him that ‘the 2 Billion in pesos which was earlier promised by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte for relief and rehabilitation of affected areas devastated last year by the powerful quake is now in the works.’

"The money was downloaded through the NDRRMC. During the RDC Meeting, RD Myla of NEDA told me that there was already a motion to proceed secured for the reconstruction of the Anao-aon Bridge. We are also looking into the repair of the Surigao City Airport runway," affirmed the action-orirnted gentleman from the House of Representatives.

Cong. Bingo said that through participatory governance, concrete, drastic, sweeping and revolutionary change will translate to more benefits for the ordinary civilians.

"This administration is fair to everybody. Progress must not be selective and one-sided. Pres. Rodrigo Duterte endeavors and inspires positive change and that's what we have to do here," added the reformist and dynamic lawmaker.

To top it all, Cong. Bingo also presented his strategic and vital accomplishments as a first termer member of the House of Representatives during the RDC Full Council Meeting.

"Sports Kontra Droga continues to motivate the youth to play basketball and other popular games so that they will maintain a healthy and productive lifestyle," articulated the vibrant legislator.

It should be noted that Cong. Matugas perfected the Siargao Circumferential Road, a brainchild of then Gob Lalo. He also erected giant infrastructure projects in the island paradise of breath-taking adventures.

With his Centralized Facility on Solid Waste Management, Cong. Bingo is doing his best to boost tourism development in Siargao.

His words about cleansing Siargao so that it will not be another Boracay in this part of the globe prove true and prophetic, with the projected shutdown of Boracay operations for a span of 6 months.

Pres. Duterte has likened Boracay into a cesspool, noting that the garbage problem has caused so much detriment to local and foreign tourists.

With the imminent closure of Boracay, it is expected by many the next big sensation and paramount tourism destination is Siargao, reportedly with top resorts fully booked until June.
