Cong. Bingo joins JCI celebration
(August 23, 2018)
“It is my pleasure and honor to welcome the members of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippines to the paradise-like island of Siargao, a must see destination in the country today that we Siargaonons are very blessed to call our home.”
These were the inspiring words conveyed by the distinguished representative from the paradise island of Siargao, Cong. Francisco Jose ‘Bingo’ Matugas II.
“I thank you for choosing our island as the venue for your 38th Mindanao Area Conference. This is indeed a perfect place for you to talk about how your organization can make sustainable impact in communities.
May you make Siargao your inspiration for your projects that are in line with human capital development and sustainable eco-tourism. These are central to my legislative agenda as well as the Representative of the Siargaonons.
I thus welcome the participation and contribution of civic organizations, non-governments organizations and other cause oriented organizations to achieve our common goal of keeping our natural resources and tourists spots here in Siargao beautiful and serene even as we continue to welcome tourists.
Again, thank you so much to all the delegates for coming to Siargao and for participating in this conference. May you all enjoy the beauty of Siargao, experience Siargaonon hospitality and bring wonderful memories with you when you return to your cities and towns.
With JCI’s advocacies and programs in the communities, I hope that Mindanao will remain rich and beautiful in natural resources for generations to come even as we work towards its development.”
The JCI Philippines, formerly known as the Philippine Jaycees, registered under the Laws of the Republic of the Philippines, is an affiliate of JCI.
With membership of over 4,000 young adults between 18 to 40 years old, from 240 local organizations throughout the Philippines, the JCI movement here has become a pillar of active young leaders that promotes sustainable impact in communities.
